Hidden behind a high brick wall in St Margarets is one of London’s most intriguing historic building – Kilmorey Mausoleum. Built for the 2nd Earl of Kilmorey, Jack Needham, and his beloved mistress Pricsilla Hoste, the Grade II* Egyptian Revival mausoleum has inspired many local myths and legends.

Join Habitats & Heritage on 11th July to see inside the mausoleum, hear about the lives of Jack Needham and Pricsilla Hoste, and discover a secret tunnel under St Margaret’s Road…

So that we can ensure people are kept safe, we ask that you book a 30 minute time slot. We are limiting groups to 30 people. You will be given a talk about the history of the mausoleum outside, before being invited to look in the mausoleum in groups no larger than 4 people. We ask that masks are worn when inside the mausoleum.

When booking your space we hope you will consider making a donation to Habitats & Heritage. Your support helps us reverse the destructive impact of habitat fragmentation by working with communities to turn neglected urban green spaces into biodiverse green hubs, get more people engaged in their local parks and green spaces, rescue crumbling historic structures for current and future generations, and much moreā€¦
