Community Action in the Crane Valley

The river Crane and all the watercourses in the Crane catchment are threads that connect people, places, habitats and wildlife.  The Crane Valley Partnership leads a programme to protect and improve the rivers and streams and the water that feeds them. The role of Habitats & Heritage, along with other organisations such as Let’s Go Outside and Learn, is to support communities in appreciating and improving the catchment.

Funded by Thames Water, the Smarter Water Catchment programme for the Crane extends over several years and involves hundreds of people in all kinds of practical, scientific and administrative roles.  We celebrate some  community group projects in blogs, with thanks to the dedicated volunteers who help to conserve this beautiful environment.  More details in the blogs below:
