Kingston Nature and History Festival
The Kingston Nature and History Festival will be running from the evening of May 30th to the evening of June 1st 2025. There will be a range of activities including workshops, walks and talk, all free to attend and taking place in Kingston Town Centre. Please see below for more details! The festival is kindly funded by the Kingston First Town Centre Community Fund.
Friday 30th May
Doors open: 18:30
Talk: 19:00-20:30
Location: FUSEBOX, 2 Buckland’s Wharf, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1TF (Under John Lewis on the river side)
Accessibility: The lift (operated by John Lewis) is currently out of order so venue access is by steps only. Accessible toilet and gender neutral toilets available at venue.

Saturday 31st May
Make your own bug hotel and hanging wildflower pot to take home !
Drop in anytime between 10:00am and 11:30am
Location: All Saints Church grounds (entrance on Market Place), 14-16 Market Pl, Kingston upon Thames KT1 1JP
Suitable for all ages
Accessibility: Wheelchair ramp available to get up to workshop location. Workshop taking place on a grassy area, which may be slightly uneven. Accessible toilet available in church.
Saturday 31st May
Face painting and a bee-themed photo station. Receive a bee sticker for discounts at participating retailers!
Anytime between 10:00 am and noon.

Saturday 31st May
Start at All Saints’ church for an introduction to the trail, then make your own way around the town centre looking for the special window stickers. When you find one, scan the QR code to learn more about the pictured species.

Suitable for anyone who can make their way around the town centre
Accessibility: Stickers should all be accessible. Accessible toilet available in church.
Saturday 31st May
A guided heritage walk around Kingston town centre
Meet at 14:00, walk lasts 1-1.5 hours
Location: Meet at All Saints Church grounds (entrance on Market Place), 14-16 Market Pl, Kingston upon Thames KT1 1JP
Suitable for all ages but aimed at adults
Accessibility: Walk should be accessible to anyone who is able to make their way around the town centre. Step-free. Accessible toilet available in church.
Sunday 1st June
Help us clean up the town centre and remove litter that could cause wildlife to become trapped! All equipment will be provided.
Meet at 11:30am, walk lasts 1 hour

Learn practical ways to create wildlife habitats in your garden, as well as what species you might attract

Talk: 14:00-15:30

Suitable for all ages but aimed at adults
Accessibility: Venue fully accessible with accessible toilet
Sunday 1st June
Hear a talk about bats and their interesting lives, learn how to use bat detectors to listen to bat calls, go on a led walk around the town centre using the detectors to listen to bats
Starts 20:45, lasts 1.5 hours
Location: Meet at All Saints Church grounds (entrance on Market Place), 14-16 Market Pl, Kingston upon Thames KT1 1JP
Suitable for all ages but may not be suitable for very young children due to time.
Accessibility: Walk should be accessible to anyone who is able to make their way around the town centre. Step-free. No toilet available.
