Talk & Reception: The Burton Mausoleum Reopened!

Join us for the final public events of the project Burton: Exploring Without Boundaries, on Thursday 4th June 2026. The grand finale of our two-year project is called The Burton Mausoleum Reopened and will take place in two parts at the Old Town Hall, Whittaker Ave, Richmond, TW9 1TP.

Part 1: The Community Showcase from 2-4pm will be in the Museum of Richmond and the Whittaker Ellis Suite and is a free drop in event

Part 2: Talk & Reception from 7.30-9pm will be in the Riverside Room and is also free, but must be booked.

The Community Showcase is part of this year’s @Londonfestivalofarchitecture and will feature exhibits and activities that showcase the outputs of the project including the very first screening of our new three-part documentary, The Burtons: Fascinating in Life and Death.

The Talk & Reception will feature talks by the project team and academics followed by a closing reception.
