  • Habitats & Heritage event

Get ready for a wonderful spring day out as our much‑loved Plant Sale for Wildlife returns this year.

Sunday 10 May, 10am – 2pm
Kilmorey Mausoleum, St Margarets Road, Twickenham, TW1 1PN (opposite Ailsa Tavern)

Join us on the day and choose from a huge selection of 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐬, 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬, 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐬, 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬, and 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐘 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞. Whether you have a huge garden or tiny outside space, there will be plenty of bargain plants to get your backyard buzzing.

A £3 entry fee (kids and Habitats & Heritage Supporters GO FREE) includes refreshment, a tour of the mausoleum and the wildlife garden. Home-made cakes will be available, as well as lots of great raffle prizes.
𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐝𝐬: The first 30 visitors will receive a 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 to take home so make sure you get there nice and early.

For those keen on local history, the mausoleum with its secret tunnel and a story of passion and betrayal, reveals a fascinating insight to Lord Kilmorey and his mistress, Priscilla. Hear the full story from our expert volunteer guides.

Children will have lots of fun too with a 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐭, 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 as well as the opportunity to see and learn more about local bees from the Twickenham and Thames Valley Beekeepers’ Association.

There is unrestricted parking in the area all day and all proceeds will support the work of Habitats & Heritage to improve, preserve and protect our local neighbourhood.

𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐌𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄!
