Our popular ๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ is back this spring so come along and enjoy a fantastic day of plants, nature and community fun!
๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ, St Margarets Road, Twickenham, TW1 1PN (opposite Ailsa Tavern)
ยฃ3 entry fee (kids and Habitats & Heritage Supporters GO FREE)
Join us for a wide selection of pollinator-friendly plants including annuals, perennials, herbs, grasses, shrubs, house plants and many more. Whether you have a huge garden or tiny outside space, there will be plenty of bargain plants to get your backyard buzzing.
The latest State of Nature Report shows that nearly 1 in 6 species (16%) of wild animals and plants are at risk of becoming extinct. It shows evidence that the UK now has less than half of its biodiversity remaining because of human activity. But we can all play a part in helping to reverse the decline. Many of the most beautiful garden plants are attractive to wildlife and any garden, however small, can be turned into a sanctuary.
What’s on for the day?
The entry fee includes tea or coffee. There will be delicious homemade cakes too!
The first 30 visitors will get a free plant!
For those keen on local history, the mausoleum with its secret tunnel and a story of passion and betrayal, reveals a fascinating insight to Lord Kilmorey and his mistress, Priscilla. Hear the full story from our expert volunteer guides.
Children will have lots of fun too with a nature scavenger hunt and the opportunity to see and learn more about local bees with theย Twickenham & Thames Valley Bee-keepersโ Association.
Thanks to somee generous local businesses, we’ll have a raffle with great prizes, including: Two boxes of Freddie’s Flowers; a family ticket for RHS Garden Wisley; a family ticket to Syon House & Gardens; voucher to Squires Garden Centre; 2x Curzon cinema tickets; Ottelonghi cookbook and many more!
A limited number of these beautiful hand-made birdboxes, crafted by Sheddington specially for us will be available so make sure you get there nice and early!
There is unrestricted parking in the area all day and all proceeds will support the work of Habitats & Heritage to improve, preserve and protect our local neighbourhood.
