Sweet Thames: walk and poetry readings

Pick up your paints and join us for a relaxing evening at the Burton Mausoleum. Learn about the unique structure and the fascinating lives of Sir Richard & Lady Isabel Burton, and come away with your very own painting.

Starting with a tour of the mausoleum, we will guide you through painting the tomb, the church or their stained glass window. Canvas boards, paints and brushes will be provided, alongside stencils of the subjects for you to copy.

The event is BYOB. Bring your messy clothes and a glass of wine!

The workshop will be held at the church hall, which is fully accessible and has facilities available. The church ground can be uneven in areas. Please note that the churchyard will close at 7 so the event will start promptly at 6.30. Reference images will be provided.
