Kingston Nature and History Festival

A weekend of free workshops, walks and talks in Kingston Town Centre.
Kindly funded by the Kingston First Town Centre Community Fund.
Friday 30 May
Evening Talk at FUSEBOX
Doors open: 18:30
Talk: 19:00 – 20:30
Location: FUSEBOX, 2 Buckland’s Wharf, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1TF (under John Lewis on the river side)
Suitable for: All ages, but aimed at adults
Accessibility: Access is via steps only (lift currently out of order). Accessible and gender-neutral toilets available.
Saturday 31 May
Make a Bug Hotel and Wildflower Pot
Drop-in: 10:00 – 11:30
Location: All Saints Church grounds (entrance on Market Place), 14–16 Market Pl, KT1 1JP
Suitable for: All ages
Accessibility: Wheelchair ramp available. Workshop takes place on a grassy area which may be slightly uneven. Accessible toilet available in the church.
Saturday 31 May
Kingston Wildlife QR Code Trail
Start time: 11:30
Location: Start at All Saints Church grounds
How it works: Begin with a short intro, then follow the trail around Kingston Town Centre. Look out for special window stickers – scan the QR codes to learn more about local species.
Suitable for: Anyone able to navigate the town centre
Accessibility: Stickers placed at accessible heights. Accessible toilet available in the church.
Saturday 31 May
Kingston Guided Heritage Walk
Meet at: 14:00
Duration: 1 – 1.5 hours
Location: Meet at All Saints Church grounds
Suitable for: All ages, but aimed at adults
Accessibility: Step-free route suitable for most. Accessible toilet available in the church.
Sunday 1 June
Litter Picking Walk
Meet at: 11:30
Duration: 1 hour
Location: Meet at All Saints Church grounds
Suitable for: All ages
Accessibility: Step-free and suitable for those able to walk around the town centre. Accessible toilet available in the church.
Sunday 1st June
Talk: Gardening for Wildlife
Doors open: 13:30
Talk: 14:00 – 15:30
Location: All Saints Church (entrance on Market Place)
Suitable for: All ages, but aimed at adults
Accessibility: Fully accessible venue with accessible toilet
Sunday 1st June
Bat Walk and Talk
Start time: 20:45
Duration: Approx. 1.5 hours
Location: Meet at All Saints Church grounds
What’s included: A talk on bats, demonstration of bat detectors, and a guided walk using detectors to listen for bat calls
Suitable for: All ages, though may not suit very young children due to the late hour
Accessibility: Step-free walk. Please note: no toilet available at this time.
