Agatha Christie: A life in print

A special theatrical talk at Grove Gardens Chapel by local actor Tony Medewar.

“Agatha Christie is the best-selling novelist of all time. As well as creating Hercule Poirot and Miss Jane Marple, immortalised by Sir David Suchet and Joan Hickson, Christie wrote The Mousetrap, the longest-running play in the history of theatre. In his talk, Tony Medawar will discuss Christie’s life and work, as seen in the press, and reveal some little-known facts about her extraordinary career. For the last five years Tony has programmed the annual Agatha Christie Festival, including three years as the Festival’s director. He compiled The Quotable Miss Marple and edits the long-running annual anthology of uncollected and unpublished mystery stories Bodies from the Library for HarperCollins, as well as its spin-off Ghosts from the Library. He is currently working on a companion to the work of Agatha Christie.”

There are toilet facilities at the Chapel and the venue is accessible by wheelchair.
