Cinzia Castellano Cinzia Castellano embraces her “Art Informel”, described as the Art that employs a form of unconscious calligraphy. Her work could have energetic patterns of line or could be superficially evasive, suggesting various emotional states.
The apparent improvisation is a methodical approach to painting, reflecting a long intellectual preparation.
She has painted this new series “Imperceptible” to respond to the extreme noise of our polarised, opinionated, easily offended cultural moment. Their lightness would like to balance the overwhelming forceful and desperate attempt to get attention.
Cinzia was born in Florence, but now lives and works in London and she is very happy to aim to invisibility.

Carole Jones Carole’s paintings are primarily abstract, mixed media pieces incorporating her passion for texture and colour.  Creating abstract works is a joyous, new area of exploration that excites Carole and she finds that each piece is a learning avenue. Carole has always indulged her love of painting since childhood. Her artistic journey started in earnest when she retired just over a year ago, finding more time and energy to devote in developing her skills and confidence.
Carole finds inspiration from everything that life has to offer and draws immense satisfaction from trying to translate the feeling, beauty and essence of a scene, object or emotion into colour and texture. Carole’s formal art training has been minimal and in some ways that has allowed her to go on an exciting new path – enjoying taking risks and trying new techniques.

Lorna Mackay Lorna is a landscape inspired painter based in central Scotland. It is this location, alongside her emotional connection with the environment that drives her work.
Being outdoors is essential to Lorna’s process and she uses her sketchbook to record observations of the landscape, lochs, and coastlines that she experience. Lorna repeatedly draws and paints the same scene, looking to capture how the different elements: trees, water, and sky, alter depending on time, her mood, perspective, or the ever shifting weather. It is this repetition that gradually reveals a hidden structure to a landscape that we might not see on initial observation. There is a growing preoccupation with how the countryside has been shaped the form this takes.

Melanie Honebone Melanie Honebone is a Wales-based fine artist. She often works in series, providing visual responses to external stimuli such as literature, science, and music. Until late 2018 she exhibited her artworks nationally and internationally under the name Melanie Ezra. The theme is always deconstruction and reconstruction, whether this is through a photograph or through her mixed-media works.
Her latest series, ‘Paper Dolls’, started in 2020 as three dimensional artworks. As the world shifted under the weight of the pandemic it was never anticipated that these physical works would ever be exhibited. Each piece holds a perfect smile and posture blended with an anarchistic melding of disciplines; intact and yet struggling to find meaning in existence. As they were created, the reliance on exhibiting in a virtual world meant photographs and drawings of these pieces became more important than the works themselves. Whether this is still the case as we emerge and grow beyond Covid remains to be seen.

Anna Dyson

Anna Dyson is a neurodivergent abstract painter and designer based in Kingston Upon Thames.

Her paintings have been featured in ‘The Metro’ newspaper and she has had two successful solo shows to date, is currently exhibiting locally with plans for another in December.
As a neurodivergent artist, painting helps her switch off her overactive mind and this is an outlet to express herself in a pure form as at times she finds speaking and writing challenging.

Vikkie TArt
I am a London based artist using art as a means of therapeutic release.  I’ve really felt the need to explore and express myself over 2021. Due to being stuck at home, still working and glued to my office laptop, the need to paint and draw became overwhelming. I had had a long break from anything creative since leaving school, so when I studied my Masters in 2018, which required those drawing skills, it ignited something. That spark emerged fully during ‘lockdown’ and now I can’t seem to stop. My work is currently experimental so I photograph, paint, spray, glue and cut. I’ve found it so good for my soul and something that is helping me cope with what I think, is the ‘perimenopause’. My emotions are all over the place and I am finding being creative is helping me to cope with whatever is going on in my body.
All of my images are empowered by the inner self and the need to explore and express.
