Dementia Friendly Nature Walk – Barnes Common

Join BCL –Barnes Common Limited – for a short stroll from Vine Road Pavilion out onto Barnes Common and back. Recognise the sights, sounds and smells of nature around us!

This walk aims to give those living with dementia and those supporting or caring for anyone living with dementia an opportunity to explore nature in a small group. During the walk participants will learn about the history and ecology of Barnes Common and the work that we do to protect it. There will be regular stops and some sensory linked activities. The pace of the walk will be slow and relaxed and people can chat and socialise throughout. After the walk we will sit and chat with a cup of tea or coffee at Vine Road Recreation Ground.
