Morning litter-pick makes ‘Clean Sheen’ a reality

Split into five teams, the participants gave large parts of East Sheen a spring clean by collecting litter from gutters, pavements, hedgerows and grass verges under blazing sunshine. Many passers-by stopped to thank them and enquire how they could get involved next time.

Clean Sheen 2023 was part of Richmond’s annual Great Big Green Week programme of activities, but many participants are keen to clean East Sheen on a regular basis and don’t want to wait until next year to do it again. Habitats and Heritage is looking at options for organising another East Sheen litter-pick in autumn 2023. Watch this space and contact us if you are interested in being kept in touch about litter picks in East Sheen or elsewhere.
