Habitats & Heritage will be running a volunteering session at Hogsmill Open Space on Saturday 26th June – 10am -2pm.
The session will be Balsam Bashing along the Hogsmill River. Himalayan Balsam is an invasive species which out competes native growth along river banks. This session will involve the removal of Himalayan Balsam, non hazardous vegetation.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions booking is still essential and places are on a first come first served basis.
Full details will be emailed once registered for the event.
The event will be run with safety first and foremost.
You will be asked to socially distance at all times. You will be asked to scan in (using the NHS test and Trace app) or sign in. Gloves are mandatory and must be worn at all times. We advise bringing your own work gloves to the session, although we can lend people gloves if needed. Masks are optional for the session. Hand sanitiser will be provided and tools sanitised before and after use.
