Bring wildlife back into your garden this spring!
Come along to the Habitats & Heritage Plant Sale for Wildlife at the Grove Gardens Chapel, Lower Grove Road in Richmond, TW10 6HP on Sunday 23rd May 2021, 10am – 2pm. NO NEED TO PRE-BOOK, JUST TURN UP ON THE DAY AND ENJOY!
With a great selection of plants to encourage and sustain local wildlife including annuals, perennials, herbs, grasses, shrubs and many more this year’s Plant Sale will offer something for everyone! Whether you have a huge garden or tiny outside space, there will be plenty of bargain plants to get your backyard buzzing.
Sadly, our wild animals and plants have been losing their homes over the last 50 years. (State of Nature report, 2016). But we can all play a part in helping to reverse the decline. Many of the most beautiful garden plants are attractive to wildlife and any garden, however small, can be turned into a sanctuary.
There will be something for all the family to enjoy at the Habitats & Heritage Plant Sale. Children can enjoy a nature trail and make a mini-bee-nursery for their garden to expand their habitat.
For those keen on local history, the charming grade II listed chapel will be open for visits. This Gothic Victorian mortuary chapel has suffered from subsidence, but nonetheless offers some attractive plate tracery and mosaic detailing.
A £2 entry fee (kids go free) includes a coffee or tea, a visit of the Chapel and the first 50 visitors will get a free pack of “bee friendly wildflower seeds”. Delicious homemade cakes will also be available. There is unrestricted parking in the area all day and dogs on leads are welcome. Cash or card payments accepted. All proceeds will support the work of Habitats & Heritage to improve, preserve and protect our local neighbourhood.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
