Join Habitats & Heritage for An Evening with Gordon Buchanan. An online event as part of the Burton: Exploring without Boundaries programme.
Award-winning wildlife cameraman and presenter, Gordon Buchanan is noted for his contributions to many of our favourite wildlife documentaries. After 20 years filming wild and wonderful creatures in remote areas of the planet, Gordon has a reputation for relishing dangerous and tough assignments. He has taken part in challenging expeditions and adventures around the globe, always with a view to raising awareness of the fragility of the world’s endangered species and habitats. As such, Gordon is a Patron for Habitats & Heritage.
Join us for this online event on Monday 29th March 6:30- 7:30pm, where we’ll be talking all things exploring, nature and photography. Gordon will be sharing some of his wild and wonderful stories from his expeditions around the world and you will have your chance to ask him your own questions.
This event is part of our project Burton: Exploring Without Boundaries. Sir Richard Burton, the famous Victorian explorer buried in Mortlake, was an extraordinary man whose achievements included leading an expedition to find the source of the River Nile and mastering over twenty languages, from Marathi to Arabic. To mark the bicentenary of his birth in March 2021 we are hosting a programme of events and are encouraging everyone to become an explorer and discover hidden historic sites and green spaces in south and west London.
Tickets: £10 (plus booking fee)
