Richmond Climate Week: Discover the wonder of Ham Lands

Discover the wonder of Ham Lands

This local nature reserve is unique for its variety of habitats and rich biodiversity and is a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC). The area comprises nearly 200 acres. Climate change is having an impact, sensitive and informed management can help mitigate that.

As part of Richmond Climate Week join Friends of Ham Lands to discover more and help make a difference. If you are joining the walk please wear strong and waterproof footwear, some paths may be muddy. If you want to help open up some of the precious grassland and you have secateurs, loppers, and gloves please bring them and wear working clothes including strong and waterproof footwear. Some tools will be available.

As part of London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames commitment to taking positive climate action thy are teaming up with partners at Habitats and Heritage to deliver a weeklong programme of practical activities, talks, and educational events during Richmond Climate Week. These events will run from 1 to 7 November 2021.

Their aim is that Richmond Climate Week will help our residents, businesses and communities learn about climate change, understand what can be done to help prevent it and to inspire everyone to take action.
