Rewild the River: Coppicing session

Rewild the River: Coppicing session

Join us for another coppicing session in Brazil Mill Wood, Feltham.
In this session, we will be coppicing trees. This is the practice of selectively cutting trees in woodlands to benefit wildlife. Removing trees in a woodland increases the light levels reaching the forest floor – often encouraging other native plant species to grow – benefiting wildlife such as butterflies, insects, and small mammals, overall creating a more diverse ecosystem!
