Christmas at the Chapel

  • 5 December 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
  • Habitats & Heritage event

Sunday 5th December, 2pm – 6pm.

Grove Gardens Chapel, Richmond Old Cemetery, Lower Grove Road, Richmond, TW10 6HP

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas so why not join us for an afternoon of fun-filled festive activities at our very own Winter Wonderland at the beautiful and historic Grove Gardens Chapel, Lower Grove Road in Richmond.

Jam-packed festivities include a 12 Days of Christmas Treasure Hunt, “make your own Winter Bird Feeder Workshop” and Christmas Carols performed by the wonderful Whitton Choral Society. Mulled wine (hot chocolate for the little ones) and delicious treats will be served under the twinkling lights.

For those keen on local history, the charming grade II listed Grove Gardens Chapel will be open for visits. This Gothic Victorian mortuary chapel has suffered from subsidence in recent years, but nonetheless offers some attractive plate tracery and mosaic detailing.

Whitton Choral Society will perform Christmas Carols 3 – 4 pm!

Entry £3 (children under 2 go FREE). Book online or just turn up.

If you are looking for a unique Christmas present, why not get one of our limited edition prints designed by The Gruffalo illustrator and Habitats & Heritage patron Axel Scheffler. Christmas Cards designed by Axel will also be available for purchase.

All proceeds will support the Habitats & Heritage nature and heritage conservation work. So come along and make the festive season even more magical!
