Environment outreach and education officer

Local charity Habitats & Heritage is hiring an Environment Officer to support community engagement with environmental and nature-based initiatives. The role involves leading conservation workdays, education and citizen science projects, and supporting volunteering and outreach through Green Hubs. Candidates should have experience in practical conservation and community or educational work, with a positive, proactive approach. The role also includes responsibilities in fundraising, communications and project management.

Salary: £26,740 FTE (£16,044 pro rata at 0.6 FTE)
Contract: Fixed term – 1 year
Hours: 3 days a week (21 hours) – including evening / weekend work
Holiday entitlement: 25 days annual leave and 8 days bank holiday (pro-rata)
Reports to: CEO/ Deputy CEO
Location: Home / office / site hybrid. With office/ site working expected approximately 2 days a week. Our
office is located at the ETNA centre, Twickenham. The role will require frequent travel to sites in Richmond,
Kingston and Hounslow.
